Which version do you choose? With inward folded edges the film has a little extra material at the rim so you can fold it inwards around the edge of the part. Edges not folded ends on the surface and is quicker to install.
From experience: wash the area especially thoroughly, tar and brake dust cling there, and the paint protection film sits perfectly on a clean surface. After installation, leave the car standing for about 48 hours before washing it.
